Marcus Hinds is the broker/owner of Hinds Realty Group, a thriving Northern California real estate firm characterized by a highly connected, family-like team of professionals representing more than forty years of real estate experience helping sellers and buyers make their dreams come true.

Born and raised in California—hardworking and industrious since childhood—Marcus has had his hands in the housing industry since 1993 when, as a teenager, he helped restore heavily damaged homes after Hawaii’s 1992 Hurricane Iniki. At the age of 19, he earned his contractor’s license and founded Magic Flooring, a home improvement company, while working his way toward a business degree at Cal State Hayward. During this time, he switched his passion from the law to the real estate industry.
Marcus obtained his real estate license in 1999; built his first custom home in Walnut Creek in 2006, and founded Hinds Realty Group four years later. One particular passion drives his work: that every family who wants to own a home has the opportunity and support to do so. Marcus and his team will do anything in their power to help families achieve the home ownership dream.
Marcus’s razor-sharp focus and acute attention to detail have been honed from years of experience running a home improvement business and buying and selling real estate. Among his many strengths are the ability to truly listen to his clients and to fiercely and expertly negotiate on their behalf. Leveraging his construction background, business acumen, and communication and marketing skills, Marcus helps families who have difficult choices to make about buying or selling a home by providing valuable insight and resources that help make the homeownership journey seamless and stress free.

Active in the community, Marcus donates his time speaking to high school students about stepping into their future selves, and coaching communication courses at Landmark Education in San Francisco.
